Meet Rufus, he came to us from our friends at Suffolk Animal Control and very little is known about his past. This handsome beagle/hound mix has tested positive for heartworms but this is a preventable and treatable disease! Thankfully we have generous donations that will cover Rufus heartworm treatment once adopted. Since arrival Rufus is a bit shy so we are recommending a canine companion friend in his future home.Those friends will be required to visit prior to adoption so be sure to review the website's adoption procedures. We will also require any children in the home be 10 and up since he is shy fella.
