Hi, I'm Siesel! I came to MaxFund in mid-April as a stray that some construction workers found wandering outside. I had a harness on and everything, but nobody came to claim me. As sad as that is, I now get a second chance at finding a loving forever home, which is pretty sweet! They also give me quite a few treats here, which is almost as good!

Not a lot is known about me because I was a stray, but it may have been that my life wasn't the easiest, as I have strong negative reactions to dogs going by! It might just be the setting and the stress of going from someone's pet to a stray to a shelter resident, but it does seem safe to say that I would do best in a home without other dogs.

I am a strong and energetic young dog who needs lots of physical and mental stimulation to thrive. I am not the type of dog who will be content with just one or two walks a day then back to my crate for hours...I need a bit more! I'd love a more experienced dog owner who will have the patience to work with me on impulse control and leash manners. If you love training dogs and watching them become their best selves with calm, positive guidance, I'd love to meet you!

My forever home should know that the kneecap on my right hind leg is positioned a little funky. While this doesn't slow me down and doesn't seem to cause me any pain at this point, there are a few things you should know to prevent this condition from becoming problematic. I should be kept on the thinner side of normal, and on-leash activity is recommended for me above rough-and-tumble play. It is possible that this kneecap will need corrective surgery sometime in the future if it causes me more problems later down the road. All this to say...please get me in to a Fear Free certified vet so we can build a good relationship before I'll need anything done!

If you're interested in coming to see me, please head on down to the shelter! Please bring the other people in the household to make sure we all get along. See you soon!
