Hi! My name is Vader and are you my father? Wait, I think I said that wrong. Anyways, I am a 9-year-old long-haired chihuahua mix. I was surrendered to MaxFund with my friend Charmae through no fault of my own! Life just happens!
The medical team at MaxFund is still working to understand the extent of a few medical concerns I have, so while they're hard at work, please enjoy some notes on my temperament!
I really do like people and affection, but it can be frightening for me when a stranger swoops down to try and pick me up. I'm an old man with achey joints and sore teeth! Please go slow with me! If you do, you'll quickly earn my trust and I'll warm right up to you. If you show me you'll listen to my cues about when and how I'd like to be pet, we'll get along swimmingly!
I enjoy time outside in pleasant weather, gentle butt scratches, and MEAT. I loooove meaty treats! Soft, steak-flavored foods are the key to my heart.
I did live with another small dog before coming to MaxFund, so I am a candidate for a home with other gentle, small dogs. Excitable dogs and larger dogs are more challenging for me--put yourself in my tiny shoes and I'm sure you can understand why the idea of a big pup barelling into me is so frightening!
I'd love to spend my twilight years surrounded by love, soft places to sleep, and plenty of Pupperoni while I receive the medical care I need.
