Hello, I'm April! I came to MaxFund as a stray with my beautiful puppies in April (hence my name!). We were found on the side of the highway, huddled together and afraid. I'm so glad a good Sam was able to bring me to MaxFund to receive the medical care and TLC we all needed!
I am thought to be a cattle dog mix of some kind, but I am a very unique dog. Instead of straight fur like a standard cattle dog, or curly fur like a poodle, my fur is wavy! It's very beautiful to see and soft to touch. Maybe you can come see for yourself soon! I'm just waiting to be spayed now that my puppies no longer need to nurse, so I should be ready to go home soon.
You should know that I am a wonderful mother. In fact, I'm so maternal I wanted to stay with one ofn my puppies, Bunny. We're inseperable! I hope you will consider taking us together so our bond can remain intact!
Because I came in as a stray, not a lot is known about me in terms of how I do with other adult dogs, cats, and children. It does take me a moment to warm up to new people (can you blame me after my history?), but once I do, I am a gentle and friendly girl. My dream home will give me lots of physical and mental stimulation--I am a cattle dog mix, after all, so I need it!--and patient love and affection.
