Hello! My name is Champagne and I am a 4.5-year-old Pit Bull mix! I have the soft, sweet eyes of a dog who is looking for someone to love. Are you that someone?

I had a long journey before coming to MaxFund--I came all the way from Washington! I unfortunately had to relocate after an unfortunate incident involving a small dog. I was out in my front yard, minding my own business, when an off-leash small dog charged me and came right through the fence! You can imagine how frightening this must have been for me, even as a larger dog.

Despite an outpouring of support from the community including many letters from my neighbors, Animal Control stepped in and decided the best thing for me was to start fresh in a new state. So here I am at MaxFund, hoping I can find the kind of love I had with my family back in Washington...but this time, without any interruptions!

My previous family loved me dearly and had a lot to say about me. They confirm that I am potty trained, crate trained (though I am not destructive when left alone at home), and a major cuddler. I don't care for fireworks or thunder, but those loud things are easier to deal with when I have a lap to snuggle up in! Here are a few more fun facts about me, written by my previous family:

"Champagne is people-oriented and thrives in the company of humans and their shared interactions with him. Champagne loves to run and play outside, especially with his human family and friends. He loves affection but playing and sharing quality time with his family is his favorite."

You can tell that I'm a very special dog, can't you? I'm quickly becoming a staff and volunteer favorite. Come meet me and see why they all love me so much! I promise you won't be disappointed. Please bring the other human and canine members of the family to make sure we all get along, and keep in mind that I am not a candidate for a home with a small dog (under 30 pounds or so).
