Merv is sweet, friendly and loves meeting new friends, including adults, children and dogs alike. In the beginning of his foster stay, there were a couple of potty accidents, but it has been smooth sailing ever since. He easily sleeps through the night, either in his foster caregiver's bed or on his bed in the same room. His morning greets are full of long stretches and cuddles. He enjoys walks and running with other dogs at the dog park for exercise. He joyfully plays with his toys; his favorite game is running after and retrieving his bouncy balls. He doesn't like getting into his crate for a car ride, but once inside, he doesn't complain. He is the best boy!
Merv has mild cloudiness in the right eye from a suspected old injury to that eye. It is not painful and the eye itself is currently normal and healthy. If the eye changes in appearance or is painful an exam should be scheduled with a veterinarian.
Merv was transferred to Valley Humane on 2/22 from the Stockton Animal Shelter. He is a young adult (estimated to be between 1 and 4 years old) and weighs 30.4 pounds.
