GEORGIA (174230) is a 10 month old spayed female Pit Bull mix. Georgia is a treat motivated, toy driven, snuggle bug who needs quite a bit of attention. There are some signs that we have been teaching her and she knows the following: sit, good girl, and no. We are working on teaching her how to stay, lay down, and other misc commands.

Because of her age (10 months) and needing extra attention due to her deafness; Georgia will need to stay in a home where her owner can devote quite a bit of time to training and being by her side. She has been living with another dog that is about 20lbs bigger than her so her mouthiness doesn't get to him as much as it would a dog of her size or smaller. We have been working on "no" because she can't hear the other dog.

She is eager to please and will get in "training mode" when food is involved and there are no distractions. Even though she does do well in a crate, I believe that someone who works from home would be best for her so that she can live the life that she deserves. She loves to cuddle up and will follow you around like a shadow so be ready for a best friend that will literally be your other half. She does well on walks when using a harness, however, she is reactive to any small animals and does have a natural pray drive (so no cats, please).

Georgia responds well to redirection with toys. Because of her young age, she does get mouthy sometimes, which can be corrected with redirection. Georgia is not completely housebroken but will communicate if she needs to go. She LOVES watching birds out of the window and will stare at her reflection all day which isn't surprising considering she's a little beauty with two different colored eyes. With the correct love, training, and attention, this little nugget may be the best thing that could ever happen to you.
