We believe Merlin may be a purebred Keeshond, but we did not submit a DNA test. He is highly excitable here at the sanctuary, but seems to calm down when he does not have so much visual stimulation. Merlin is loving and very playful with people he knows. We do not think he would be a good fit with a cat and his anxious behavior has prevented us from introducing him to other dogs here at Hallie Hill. The person who surrendered him said he was fine living in the yard with his other dogs. Merlin WILL REQUIRE grooming.
