Meet Landon!
He was returned to the shelter because his previous owner, recognizing some developing health concerns, unfortunately found themselves unable to provide the necessary medical care. We are very grateful to them for prioritizing Landon's well-being by bringing him to us. Upon examination by a veterinarian at the Lake Geneva Animal Hospital, Landon was diagnosed with diabetes - low blood sugar. However, we want to emphasize that this condition is very manageable! He currently takes his daily oral medication without any issues and tolerates it well.
Feline diabetes can be effectively managed with consistent care. Veterinarians often recommend a combination of treatments, including medication such as pills or insulin injections, alongside adjustments to the cat's diet.
