Rusty is a tall black and white dog (a mix of I can only guess) who is an absolute doll! He is the most mild-mannered and chill dog I have known in a long time. He gets along with everyone- dogs, cats, all people- and sits in my lap sometimes, even though he does not fit that well. Rusty is a senior, but has so much life left. He makes me laugh with his personality that he shows me a little more of every day. He does well in the house, but does not want to be crated- he doesn't need to be anyway. Despite his emaciated condition when I began fostering him, he has been loved and cared for in the past. I wonder if his owner passed away and that is why he was found stray. He acclimated fairly quickly to our home and other dogs here. He makes funny noises when he gets excited, and when I get back from a short errand, he does such a happy dance! He strolls around the yard and will WOOF every once in a while, and LOVES to eat and have treats. He enjoys being around the other dogs, and loves to play "ROPE" with them, although most times he is just content to be around them. He has gained several pounds in a short amount of time, and is very handsome. He seems to be very healthy with no sign of health issues. He loves to get under the covers on my bed, but gets up and down in the night when it gets too hot under there, so he cannot sleep with me, lol. He has a bed on the couch and in my office, and is quite a shadow dog. Rusty has years left to love a new family who knows and appreciates an easy going guy when they meet one. He is such a joy to have with us.
