Hi there, I'm Glinda! I'm smart and playful and affectionate and full of crazy fun! I hope I can be the center of your universe. I want to exercise and cuddle with you every single day, sharing my zest for life with you and making you smile. That's my dream. I hope maybe you're looking for a good dog just like me to share your life with. I'm ready!

I'm a darling, 1 1/2-year-old, medium sized mixed breed beauty, with the biggest smile, perky ears, gentle eyes, and a happy, goofy, delightful personality. I'm even already housebroken and crate trained. How about that! I found myself at AHeinz57 in the fall, when I was brought to safety as a stray, but no one ever came for me. It was a stressful and confusing time for me. Foster Mom saw that I was struggling, so she brought me home to teach me manners and life skills that will help me in my new home with you. She makes me feel special and safe and cared for. That feels so nice.

I am full of energy and eager to learn whatever you want to teach me. I'm super fast and I can jump high. It's a beautiful thing to watch me run at full speed. I might be the perfect partner for agility training or running, if you're into that sort of thing. I'm very smart, and I want so much to make you happy and proud. Please stay patient and calm with me as I learn. If you praise and encourage me when I'm a good girl, I'll quickly learn what you expect from me. I'm currently working on staying calm even when I feel excited and jumpy. I know all sorts of other commands too, which I can't wait to show you. When Foster Mom says "Place," I run to my kennel and wait for further instructions. I stay in my kennel when no one is home, and I also eat my meals there. I prefer to eat in a quiet, peaceful spot where I know no one will bother me, so my kennel works great for that.

My favorite thing in the world is spending time with my people. I love to curl up as close as possible on the couch to snuggle or to run and play in our fenced backyard. Night time is the best though. I sleep so peacefully all night long, cuddled right up next to Foster Mom. The comfort of a real home is something I will never, ever take for granted. I love playing with my toys, especially chew toys, and I can keep myself entertained with them when you are busy with other stuff. I also enjoy going for walks through the neighborhood or on the local trails. I'm still working on my leash skills, and I'm making progress with lots of practice. I wear a harness to limit my pulling. I love to greet people I meet along the way. I try so hard not to jump up to say hello, but these things take time to learn. I bark at other dogs, so Foster Mom redirects me, keeping a distance from them. Overall, I'm just a really nice friend to spend your day with.

While I love my people, including the dog savvy 13- and 15-year-olds that I live with in foster, I'll be happiest as your only animal. I might do fine with dogs who are my size or larger, as long as they are tolerant of my rough play. I will need a home without small dogs, cats, or other small, furry animals. I'd love a securely fenced yard to run and play in, preferably with a 6-foot privacy type of fence. Mostly though, I'm looking for a home with kind people who will make me an active, important, treasured member of the family.

Foster Mom reminds me that, in the right environment, I will shine like a diamond. I like that. Don't we all deserve a home where we can be loved for who we are? Even me? I can't change my past, so I choose to focus on my bright future and all of the fun that is still to happen. I can't wait to spend my days showering you with unconditional love. That's what I do best.

Love, Glinda
