Petunia is a fabulous dog!! She's a super snuggler with a sweet and loving personality. Petunia gets along well with other dogs, but no cats please for this girl. She's crate and house trained!!

Petunia
* Terrier mix
*4 years, 4 months
* Petunia is terrific in the home, crate trained and very polite.
Petunia was found as a stray early Sept. She was emaciated, pregnant and covered in mange. She delivered 11 puppies. The puppies have gone to rescue. She is house broken and crate trained. She enjoys her quiet time in the crate. She walks well on leash and is a big couch potato. She loves people and never meets a stranger. She gets along well with other dogs but doesn't need any cats in her life.

More about Petunia - Dec 21: She's in your lap.  She's loving on you.  You are thinking you are in love with her.  Your heart is telling you she's the one and you know what?  She IS THE ONE for you!!   Meet PETUNIA!!  Mention the name Petunia to staff and volunteers and faces light up. Everyone has amazing, kind words to share about our great girl.  Found as a stray with a huge litter of pups, her pups have all been launched and now it's time for her to shine.

 Her days of being used tirelessly and repeatedly as a breeding momma are now over.    When Petunia was found she had really bad mange, a sparse coat and her skin was all red and inflamed.  Oh, she was nearly emaciated as well.  Despite her obvious physical challenges, still she was THE nicest, most cordial of all dogs.  Petunia has been in foster several months now and with her health now fully restored,  she'd love to meet you!   Her foster reports that she has been the easiest foster.  Move in ready?  Yep.  Petunia is terrific in the home, crate and house trained, very polite, chill and calm and one of her fave things to do is to relax and snuggle with her human on the sofa. She's not much into toys ...perhaps she's never really had any(??)....but she has taken a liking to a gingerbread stuffie that she'll often cuddle with.   Petunia is very people oriented and has never met a stranger.  Not much of a barker, she has wonderful swiveling hips, a welcoming smile and she's done well riding in the car.   We're thinking cats might be too much for her and smaller livestock...like chicken may not be a good match for her.  She has done a good job walking near and around dogs but tends to have a more dominant side to her so she might be best suited as an only dog.  Certainly, Petunia would tell you that all you really need is her so she'll make things simple for you!  We can't wait to see the lucky family that gets to call PETUNIA their one and only!  Perhaps it's you!
