Hello everyone, my name is Dusty. I'm a 1 1/2 year old Shepherd Mix. I camt to MaxFund as a relinquish in August. Since getting here I've been getting to know the staff and adjusting to shelter life. I'm athletic and very smart, some might even say that I'm a little too smart foir my own good.
One of my favorite things to do is to have very long walks or play sessions. I will need heavy duty toys because I love to tear up soft toys! I will need a house with a 6ft fenced yard as I have lots of energy that I will need to burn off. I am not a big fan of little kids so I would do best in a home with kids aged 13 and up. I do have a very high prey drive so I would do best in a home with NO other animals. I am very smart and trainable even though my handlers say I'm naturally independent.
I would make a great dog for someone who is seeking a bit of a challenge and an active companion. Please call the wonderful ladies at the dog shelter to schedule and appointment to meet me, ans you'll surely fall in love with my playful personality.
