Frankly, Muffin, a beautiful seven year old calico cat, may live out her life at the shelter. She came from a home that had way too many cats, and Muffin never received enough positive human interaction to learn to trust people. Right now, Muffin likes to be near people- but doesn't allow people to touch her for more than a few seconds- and will often glare at anyone who does. She's not a mean cat, but she is a scared cat- and when she is adopted, her adopters must also promise that they will take a very, very slow approach to win over her trust, even if it takes many months to do so. We can't undo her past, but we hope someone will come give her a brighter future. Muffin would do best in a quieter household with a cat friend or two to help her feel more confident and comfortable while she adjusts to her new home- and living with a friendlier cat might even help her become friendly! Please give this scared baby a chance.
