He enjoys being with other dogs, and is ridiculously fond of my 17 year-old son. I am the one who feeds him, walks him, and plays with him, but he is obsessed with my son; maybe he had a child of his own in the past. He is great in a kennel, and eager to please. He is mellow, but will play tug-of-war outside and chase a ball. It took him a while to learn how to play with the other dogs - he was just clueless and annoying to them - but now he reads cues and gets along with all sized dogs. I have introduced him to a cat several times and he wants to "see" him. He is interested but has shown no aggression or prey drive towards the cat. The cat is not afraid of him and seems to be able to "read" dogs' energy pretty well. Cooper needs a home where he can sit in laps and just be loved. He truly is a lap dog and has no idea he is a big boy. For a pit, he is medium-sized, probably less than 60 pounds. He is beautiful and deserves a home of his very own. He is sensitive and a strikingly handsome dog in person. He does need to be kept on flea control as he came with a flea allergy that was treated by the shelter. He does not want to be outside by himself, but will lie in the sun with Rusty - a big ole senior mixed breed we are fostering. Cooper was very puppy when we began fostering this summer, and I believe to just now be a year and a half old. I would love for him to be on a transport to an amazing rescue - he deserves it and is such a good boy.
