Hello, my name is Xenon and I am an 4-year-old chihuahua poodle mix (chipoo for short!). Many of my family members have been adopted but it has taken a while to find myself a home because I am among the most scared when we came in. In our previous house, we wer never around people and had to learn how to interact them all over again! My family here at MaxFund has been working with us for over a year, and we are FINALLY coming out of our shells! Make no mistake, it will take multiple meet and greets to begin our trusting process, and if you get to take me home, I will not be lap dogs or very snuggly for quite some time. I know I have lots of love to give, but it may take time. I cannot go to an apartment or a home with small children, and ideally with someone with experience with very scared dogs. I have become use to certain volunteers and staff who have worked with me to overcome some of our fears, but I may also have certain fears for the rest of my life. That doesn't mean that I can't be a loving dog, just loving on our terms. Treats are a must if you want to be my friend. If you have the time, patience and love to give, I would love to meet you! Do you have any other dogs in the home? Please bring them with you so we can meet and see if we get along! I mean there were almost 200 of us living in one house! I can't imagine it not working out! In fact, going home with a well-socialized dog will be very beneficial to me! Please teach me how to love!
