Meet Casey!
Casey is a 2-year-old, 60-pound, Pitbull mix, who is fully grown. When Casey was first brought to the rescue, she was a scared stray that did not know how to trust humans. After the time our staff spent with her, she became a little less afraid and more trusting. We learned quickly that Casey would do best in a home as the only pet, as she does not get along well with cats or dogs. She has yet to be introduced to a child, since arriving here at the rescue, so proper introductions will be needed. We do believe that she would do best in a home with children above the age of 15, as she is still learning to trust, so loud sounds and fast movements still scare her. Casey's new home will need to consist of a 6ft privacy fence, as a requirement, because she does not do well with other dogs. Her ideal home would be in the country where she would not have to worry about neighboring dogs surrounding her, and she would love a family that would be willing to spend quality time giving her attention and affection. Since she does have a harder time trusting new people, she would love to have a few meets and greets outside to help her bond.
