Hi, meet Ghost OUR LONGEST RESIDENT!! Ghost is a sweet, loving dog who loves to run and get all the play-time he can get. Ghost would really love to tag along on any adventures you go on as he is a very curious young man, ghost can have a lot of energy at times but he has learned that he gets positive re-enforcement when he is calm. We make sure to give ghost a lot of enrichment toys through the day that really helps work his brain and we have learned that he LOVES his wobbler we give him with treats inside as he is VERY treat motivated! He truly has amazed us with the progress he has made since being with us! Ghost is leash walk only here as he can jump over our fences so keep that in mind if you have a short fence, though there are alternatives we can discuss with you, if you don't have the proper fencing; so please don't let that scare you off from making him apart of your family (he has calmed down a lot since he first here, when we do have to pop him outside as long as we keep our eye on him and he's not out for long he could care less to escape)! We are asking that you have experience with high energy dogs for this handsome guy and any canine in the home will need to be introduced before-hand! We are also asking that any children in the home be 16 or older. Ghost has a bit of a prey drive and cannot go to a home with cats or any small animals. Ghost has been working with one of our former staff members who has recently became a dog trainer! He has been doing great so far learning basic commands such as "place", "free", and "stay", the staff here at the VBSPCA are doing their up-most best to keep up with those commands and the positive re-enforcement, so by the time he finds his furr-ever home he will know lots of new tricks!! Since ghost is one of our LONGEST RESIDENTS his adoption fee is just $175!!! Please see a kennel technician for any questions!
