Xena and her siblings were born behind a shed in Holtville; their mother wasn't comfortable in close contact with people and was spayed and released to be cared for at a distance once her babies were weaned. The X-kittens were all born with differing degrees of wobbly ataxia, and thus were monitored until they reached their teens to ensure all was well. Xena still has some impaired balance and coordination but is a champ at getting around.

Xena is a curious, talkative, and purry busybody who will be right in the middle of the kitchen or main room... wherever the people and action can be found! She's a social kitty who doesn't even care if you're vacuuming, she'll just lie down in front of it. She loves to play with her toys as well as her kitty friends. Xena will plant her paws a little wide for extra stability, but she has learned to compensate for a lot of her wobbliness and dismisses any concerns. She doesn't let her body's lack of coordination stop her from having fun; she climbs on her own, though sometimes can use an assist getting down, and will need a little extra mindfulness to make things easier for her. Sweet Xena loves attention: pets, treats, laps, yep it's all good!

Xena has grown up around many other cats and will need a feline friend now that her siblings have all been adopted. She doesn't mind dogs and has had exposure to multiple size canines. We recommend older children who can be mindful of Xena wobbliness; she has done well around the tweens she's met.

Xena excels at charm. Will she captivate you?
