I have been fostering Disney (Walt) for a few months and he has come such a long way! We went through a six-week introductory training course (where he was the star of the group) and he has continuously come out of his shell and shown off his skills now that he is comfortable in his environment! He LOVES my second foster, Riley and they have become such good friends. They love chasing each other around the yard, going for car rides, taking walks, and practicing some training tricks together. Walt has shown me how quickly a dog can recover from their trauma when their energy and anxieties are channeled in positive ways! We've worked on socializing quite a bit and the difference from when I first brought him home and now is night and day.
Walt has shown me how adaptable he is and how with the right amount of patience and time to acclimate he will be great in any household (children, dogs, cats, etc.). Walt is awaiting his forever home and family so he can prove how loving and loyal he is. He'd love to stay with his best friend Riley but would be equally as happy to find people to have a lasting bond with as well.
Walt knows plenty of commands and loves to snuggle, play fetch, go for walks, or just hang out in the backyard. He is truly the ideal companion for anyone wanting to open their hearts to an amazing dog (or dogs if adopting him with Riley would be an option for your family). As his foster, I have committed myself to ensuring that both Walt and Riley end up in the perfect home(s). I have invested a lot of time in continuous training, evaluating them in various situations, and most of all ensuring they are happy and healthy! I am more than happy to answer any questions for prospective adopters to ensure they end up in their ideal forever home.
