Frijole is a gentle, loving dog. He didn't have a great start in life, and came to his foster family as a very timid little guy. He is initially nervous around new things (low self-esteem), but with proper introductions, warms quickly. He would do best in a home where the humans have experience as calm, assertive pack leaders. Another submissive female dog in the home would be fine as well. He walks well on the leash, and has had great meets with a number of our neighborhood dogs (see FB posts). He enjoys his kennel (which we've made up to be more like a "den" / quiet sanctuary), and peacefully sleeps in there on the days when his foster parents have to go into work. Completely crate trained and house-broken. Only ever chews on a random pencil now and then. He's one of the easiest fosters this foster family has had!

Adoption fee: $475 All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations. As required by Wisconsin Act 90, all dogs will have received a veterinarian exam (CVI) within the past 30 days. Our adoption process requires the submission of an application. Applications and Adoption Rules can be found on our website, on the "HOW TO ADOPT" tab at JRsPupsNStuff.org. Upon receipt of the completed application, we will process the application including: contact with your veterinarian and completion of a home visit. Please be sure to include the contact information for your vet as we will call. If your vet requires an information release, please be sure to contact them as soon as you submit your application.
