Meet Bentley. A resilient soul searching for a second chance. Bentley is an (almost) 5-year-old terrier mix with a heart full of love and a spirit that's just waiting to shine in the right home. This handsome guy has been patiently waiting for his forever family since April 2022, when he was surrendered after growing up in a home where he wasn't treated with the kindness every dog deserves. Despite a rough start - including being teased by a child in his former home - Bentley has held onto his playful nature. He loves his toys, knows commands like "sit, wait, down" and "paw," and lights up when he feels safe and understood. Bentley lived peacefully with a cat in his previous home, but he needs to be the only dog in his new one. He's looking for an adult-only household that can offer a calm, stable environment. Loud noises and arguments scare him, so he'll thrive with gentle, patient people who can show him that life can be peaceful and loving. Our hearts ache for Bentley, and we know the right family is out there-someone with compassion and understanding, ready to help him finally feel at home.
