Hello ladies and gentlemen, my name is Charlie. Pleasure to meet all of you.
I want to start by saying how could you not want to adopt me? I am the most dashing brown/black 4-year-old tabby you will meet at MaxFund. Not to toot my own horn but I like to think this because I am FELV positive. Maybe this is because I am the only FELV positive cat at this shelter, so I get extra credit for being the most dashing and lovable.
I love having my own room with enough space to jump, crawl, walk, and lay down. I will say that my future home is awaiting a nice comfy bed for me to lounge on, as well as much window space to bird watch. I LOVE when staff members/volunteers come in to play with me, even if they are not interested. They are able to brush me, play with cat toys and scratches, and also feel the warmth of a loving companion.
I came into MaxFund as a stray with no chip, therefore I had nobody out there looking for me. A nice lady was the one who scooped me off the streets and brought me here in February. She had been watching me for weeks before bringing me into this shelter, and until then I was receiving nothing on the outside besides some dry food. Nobody else was concerned about my well-being or if I needed medical care to live a healthy lifestyle. The lady who brought me into this shelter had a dog in her household, so I did receive some interactions with her dog and that went well. Since being at this shelter, I have learned to adapt well with dogs, children, and other humans. I am currently in a foster home, with the hopes of finding a potential adopter that is able to handle my condition as well as needing a loving companion who sits by their side day in and day out!
