Meet Samuel! (AKA: Sammy, Hunka Hunka and Handsome Boy!)
Single boy looking for a leg to lean into, a smile to share and a forever family to call his own.
Measurements: 80 pounds of handsome, 9-year-old, Boxer Mix with a wiggly bottom, and a large desire to be loved.

Ideal match: A hooman or family with a kind and gentle energy would be wonderful. He would need a home that will be willing to take the time to help him learn that most things are not scary, and that people outside of our volunteers and staff are okay to trust. He is super sweet once he is comfortable and loves to get belly rubs and chin scratches. He tends to steal hearts at the rescue we know he would steal yours if you gave him the chance!
Would be best in a home without children, as quick movements can be very scary to him. He would love to be the only dog in the home, so he can get all the lovins as other dogs can be a bit too much for him. Men are also super scary to him, so he will need to have slow introductions with men, and multiple meetings in order for him to learn how to trust them. We don't know if he has ever met a cat but we would be happy to cat test if you fall in love with him and want to make him a part of your family. Since he does not do well with meeting new people or other animals, an apartment would not be the best fit for him. Samuel will need to have a physical fenced in yard, to run, play, and sunbath to his heart's content!
Samuel is genuinely a very affectionate boy that really just wants to be loved. He has thrived with all of the attention he gets at our rescue. Love makes his world go round, and he is looking for someone to travel around the sun with, for his second chance at a happy life.
