This animal is available for adoption but will be staying at their foster home until adopted. If you'd like to meet, please contact the shelter and we can make arrangements for the foster home to contact you about meeting this animal.

The foster home reports that Cyrus has done well with the dogs he's met while in their care. However, he's been dog selective when he was at the Shelter. He will need to meet any dogs in the home before completing the adoption.

What type of household/family would you recommend for this dog: Playful! Cyrus is excellent with the other dogs he's met and spends much of his time playing with our dog. Although he has not been exposed to small children with us, we suspect he may be a great family dog with slightly older children (he would likely knock small children down in his excitement).

He does NOT do well with kennels or being left alone (destructive behavior/separation anxiety). Well behaved when he is free in home with another dog. Would highly recommend a home where a person or another dog always present.

What else should the shelter or a potential adopter know about this dog: We decided to name him Cyrus because he "came in like a wrecking ball!" He ran into our home licking faces with tail wagging like a whip. He loves to run, jump, and play. He is a follower (ie tends to bark when another dog is barking, only goes exploring if our dog goes first, takes cues from us on how to act). Calms down after about 20mins of playing outside; most of the time he is a big cuddly teddy bear.

The dog adoption fee is $90. They come spayed/neutered, microchipped, first set of vaccines including DHPP (parvo combo), Bordatella (kennel cough), and Strongid (wormer).

Our website updates every hour, but some animals may be adopted faster than we can get them updated online.
