Little Joe
Male - Buff - DOB 9/1/18 *Currently in a foster home! Email Niki@LFAW.org to meet me!* I've had a hard life as you see by the scars on my back. But that has changed since the League rescued me from North Carolina! I am very chatty and friendly. They have great toys here to play with and I am happy to just LOOK outside now. I will need to be your only kitty because I have FIV and I don't get along with other cats very well. My new family will adore my Egyptian cat face and big, green eyes. 12/29/21 Updates from Little Joe's fosters: Little Joe's Previous foster August-November 2021 says: "When we first went to visit him, we saw a cat that has scars from his past. Immediately, we knew he needed love. As soon as he got to our house filled with 5 college girls, he was able to adjust and learn about trust with the people around him. He has some moments where he gets really stressed, but we think with a bit more quiet environment (and lots of cuddles) he can really break his cycle of anxiety. Joe is a flirt, and when we say flirt, we mean FLIRT. He will weave between anyone's legs that he meets if they are holding a plate of food. He is reserved at first, but as soon as it's dinner time he will chat up a storm with you. He's not a big playful cat, which is not necessarily bad. But that said, he still has the zooms on occasion and will chase a toy when he is motivated. As much as we love this dude, this isn't a good forever home for this much anxiety. He needs more attention, more peaceful time, and more of a quiet space. We really hope this happens for him due to the stress he has endured in the shelters. Joe is a beautiful boy who deserves a loving and caring home." November 2021-Present: Little Joe recently went to a new foster home that is a bit calmer and quieter than his previous foster home with his 5 awesome college roommates). He is coexisting very well with the two adult cats in the home (while in the shelter he was so stressed he was not getting along with his roommates). He enjoys snuggles, watching the birds from the catio, and all the attention he can possibly get from his foster mom. He wants ALL the attention. He is FIV+ and does suffer from stress and IBD which causes occasional bouts of vomiting but is currently being managed very well with daily medication (he eats in his food) and a special diet. He has not had any stress vomiting or diarrhea events in past month of living in his current foster situation. |
