"Beloved." That's what Kara means. I was given this name when I got to Paws and Claws because my person's son doesn't know my name. His mother - my owner - died, you see, so all of her beloved cats are now at the shelter needing new homes. It was a big change for all of us, and we were nervous at first. It's reassuring to have each other! Maybe one of my friends can come with me to my new home to be my companion. I'm a pretty senior brown/orange tabby girl - perhaps a "torbie" (tabby-tortoiseshell). I still like to play - we all do! We had ping pong balls that we liked to play with, and I like batting at wand toys. We also like being petted once we settle in and get comfortable, and we can be very affectionate. I will gently tap people with my paw to let them know I want to be petted. I hope I'll be someone's beloved Kara very soon.
