The rats are ready for adoption! Rats are very social and must be adopted to a home with other rats. These babies were born in our care and have been handled daily. They will be great pets if you continue to work with them!

These rats were found running around as strays near the UoI campus. The finders tried contacting other rescues but could not find anybody else to help. Since we already had the supplies, we stepped up to take these little ones on. We held them for a week and they have not shown any signs of being ill, so they are ready to find forever homes!

We are working on handling and getting better every day. We are so young that socialization daily will be key to our futures as pet rats! None of us have ever tried to bite here. We are NOT neutered. In general, the risk of neutering outweighs the benefits for male rats, we can live perfectly happy normal lives just the way we are. We should only live with other males or spayed females so that we do not contribute to pet overpopulation (as that's how we got here!)

The adoption fee is $12 per rat or 2 for $18!
