The rats are ready for adoption! Rats are very social and must be adopted to a home with other rats. They will be great pets if you work with them!
These rats were found running around as strays near the UoI campus. The finders tried contacting other rescues but could not find anybody else to help. Since we already had the supplies, we stepped up to take these little ones on. We held them for a week and they have not shown any signs of being ill, so they are ready to find forever homes! The alternative was kill traps and poison, but we knew they deserved better!
They are all pretty skittish, but if you're looking for spayed/neutered and microchipped rats, this is the best deal you will EVER find. The cost of all of these procedures on your own would be roughly $300! The adoption fee with WCHS is $12 per rat or 2 for $18!
