Hi, I am Ringo! If you are looking for a young dog, who is full of life, then I am your guy! I was adopted as a puppy during the covid pandemic, and while my mom loved me a lot, I got too big for her to handle, and then she got sick, so she thought it was best to return me so I could get a 2nd chance at life.

When I was first returned, I was very scared and some bad habits. I wasn't well socialized so new people scared me. I am happy to say that I am far better now. My foster mom has been working with me, taking me to various places to see that people are awesome. I do have a TON of energy and don't realize my size, so small kids are a big NO for me. Not that I don't like them, but I simply don't have a lot of body awareness and will knock them over. I love to go for walks and love to run in the yard as well. A fenced yard would be a nice for me but isn't necessary. I do like to go outside and run around and take in all the sights and smells. I also might be a good running partner with some proper training. Once I get my energy out, I am all good to sit with you and watch TV or read a book.

I am good with other dogs, but as I mentioned earlier, I don't realize my size and I might be a bit much for some dogs. A dog that doesn't mind a rambunctious little brother would be awesome. I live with 4 other dogs, but most are older, so they really don't play much with me. I do LOVE to play chase with the other younger dog. It is a blast.... I love to play tug. It is probably my favorite game. I grab a toy and bring it to you to tug with. Then I will go find another and bring it to you. I will run after balls and Frisbees in the yard, but I don't quite get the concept of bringing it back all the time. I also love water and the kiddie pool in the back yard this summer was a BLAST!

I am crate trained and sleep nicely in my crate at night. I do get a bit barky when the other dogs are being let out and I am still crated, but otherwise, I am good in my crate. I do need a good, sturdy crate with a metal bottom though because I am big and strong.

If you adopt me, you will have to give me some time to settle in and become the best dog for you but once I am your friend, I am your best buddy. I like to sit ON you while you watch TV, so please make sure there is plenty of room for me as well.
I would also benefit from some training classes. I am smart and like to learn, but being a boxer mix, I don't have a very long attention span. And getting me in classes would help me come out of my shell with other people as well.

So, if you are looking for a loving guy with energy to spare, I am your guy. I would love to be your friend for life!
