Help Emma solve her dilemma!!

Our little wide-eyed beauty has experienced more in her few short years than most cats do in ALL their 9 lives! Emma is one of many, many cats rescued from a terrible hoarding situation in Beamsville.

While living la vida loca, Emma met a handsome and charming boy cat. Let's call him...Tom. She was swept off her feet, even if only for a night. But, sadly, the relationship was not meant to be. Once she was safely at EHS, her medical exam revealed that she was pregnant and Emma gave birth to 5 healthy babies! But her little ones grew up and, as children do, have all gone to forever homes of their own. Her wee ones don't write to her very often, but that could be because Canada Post is really slow on delivery. And Tom? Well, he doesn't call Emma....but the phone at EHS is always ringing, and Tom likely doesn't have very good cell phone reception outside of Hamilton.

While Emma has transitioned well from life outdoors to life in the shelter, at times she is still a bit shy and uncertain of humans. But she is gaining confidence every week! She now resides in the front Cat Room at the shelter, and loves to watch the activity going on around her. Emma will regularly initiate wrestling matches with her roomies, and try to get their attention when they are in the front office, by grabbing at them from under the door. And 'though she is not a lap cat, yet, she has shown a sweet disposition toward all EHS volunteers! And Emma has shown that she is quite the lithe athlete, playing catch the sponge ball...mid-air! (step aside, Air Jordan!)

So, here's the rub: does Emma look for a home with small children? Likely not. It's safe to say that an adult home with older children would bring out her amazing purrsonality. Would Emma fare well with other animals? We're not sure how she would do with dogs....but we're certain she would do really well in a home with another friendly cat. She started out her life in a colony environment with other cats and, since arriving at EHS, she lives amicably with a number of other kitties in the Cat Room.

Here is Emma's dilemma: she is looking for a specific, special purrson, who will love her right where she's at, and help her to grow into the confident, fun, crazy playful girl that she is. Are you the one who can tell Emma, "Your dilemma is solved!"?
The adoption fee for a single cat at EHS is $150. Take home a feline friend for your kitty and the adoption fee for the pair is $250! Each of our cats is spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, snap tested for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption. Kittens are not spayed or neutered until 6 months of age, but the cost of the spay/neuter will be covered as part of the adoption.
Please contact cats@etobicokehumanesociety. com for more details about Emma or fill out our online form. An EHS representative will be pleased to help.
