When Hurricane Irma was approaching Florida in September, the League trekked down to a shelter in Gainesville to help make space there by bringing pets to Ohio. Hurricane Penelope is one of those dogs. Penelope is a very sweet girl. She is a little stand-offish but she is still adjusting to all the changes in her life. Penelope is a big dog but came to us underweight. She is receiving a good diet here and will soon fill out. Penelope will make a nice family pet and will do better with older children. She is very friendly and will need daily exercise. Her front feet turn out a little oddly and longer walks or jogs may not be recommended. Penelope just needs a home where she will be well cared for and loved. She will show her appreciation for sure.

Puppy adoptions (6 months and younger) are $200. The puppy fee includes a wellness check and a follow-up set of vaccines at the League. Dog adoptions are $125. All our dogs have been vet checked, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, and microchipped.
