Billy is a senior and was sadly surrendered with his 'brother', Peppy, to the Arizona Humane Society due to their human entering a care facility.

AHS didn't require that they be pulled together, but given their worlds have recently been turned upside down we thought it was in their best interest to do so. Peppy has since found his forever home, but Billy is still waiting for his perfect family to arrive.

Billy is friendly, housebroken and can use a dog door. He is good with other dogs and supposedly cats but he has not been tested in his foster home. He has been crate trained too. Billy's foster has been practicing walking on a leash and he is getting better and better by the day. We love his cute little prance when he walks, because it look like he's on a pogo stick.

Billy does well with other dogs but has a habit of rambunctiously grabbing treats from your fingers when they are offered so we'd recommend a forever home with older children.

During his time in foster care Billy's foster mom noticed his ear thickening. She took him to the vet and he was diagnosed with an aural hematoma.

Aural hematomas often occur when trauma of some sort has happened and the ear respond by filling up with blood. We're not exactly sure how this happened with Billy (maybe he bonked his ear in the doorway coming inside?), but he's fully mended.

Now Billy has one permanent floppy ear, but we think it just adds to his already adorable character!
