Cookies & Cream is a super sweet, spunky senior who is looking for her retirement home! Cookie was adopted years ago from ACR but was abandoned outside at her old age and she made her way back to ACR's care.
She is extremely friendly, and despite her age, still enjoys playing with wand toys. She is a social eater, so she likes company and encouragement. She will happily join you beside the couch for cuddles and will purr the whole time.
She has no issues being picked up or using the litter box. She loves the company of people and will make an amazing companion in her golden years.
She is not the biggest fan of other cats so would be best suited for a home with no other animals.
As a senior, she can be a little stiff and could use some help getting up and down from high places to not stress her joints. She appreciates a well placed box or step when making her way up/down the couch or bed. As such, a home with many stairs may be not be suitable for a cat of her age.
Cookie is on daily medication for her hyperthyroidism (a condition very common in senior cats) but she takes her pill fine in her food. She has early kidney disease so she is on a prescription diet. Sometimes she gets a bit constipated so it is important to monitor her poops and add laxative to her food to get things moving along when needed. Cookie had a recent dental cleaning. She is also on medication to manage arthritis. Like all ACR cats, Cookies & Cream is up-to-date on vaccines and has been treated for fleas and parasites.
