Mabel is the sweetest little lady who was previously living outside as a stray. Over the summer, her feeder noticed that she wasn't taking care of her fur well, so she was brought indoors. She easily adjusted to her new life of luxury and is now thriving inside! Mabel's teeth were in poor condition and all had to be removed. Despite not having any teeth, she is a healthy kitty and is now eating well and grooming normally!
Mabel can always be found near her foster parents - hanging out or sleeping on the couch, bed, office chair, or carpet, near her humans. She follows her foster parents from room to room and loves to rub up on their legs. She absolutely adores spending time in their laps. She is a purring machine and professional biscuit maker - her favourite work surface is her foster parent's belly or chest. Though she loves being around humans, she does not require too much attention to be content. She loves to play with her laser and catnip toys, but only for a few minutes at a time. Mabel doesn't like being pet or brushed and is known to swat at times when she is touched or brushed. She and her foster family started working with a behavioural therapist and she has made a lot of progress with this behaviour already!
Mabel tolerates being picked up and held for short periods of time. She is not that vocal but has the sweetest chirps and trills. She is perfect with her litter box. She would likely do best in a home where she has company throughout the day and would be very happy to be the only pet in the home.
Mabel is a one of a kind, quirky, sweetheart who loves to be near and snuggle her humans all the time. She is a lovely, demure lady who is looking for her purrfect forever family - could that be you?
Mabel had a full mouth dental extraction in 2024. She is negative for FIV and FeLV and has been treated for fleas and parasites.
