Runny is the sweetest little shadow.

Her curious spirit will have her following you around throughout the day to see what you're doing. Expect company in the bathroom, any time you open the fridge or leave something out that looks interesting. She love love LOVES play time. She is a fierce string huntress and loves to chase balls and springs. She is quite the jock and loves when you bounce ping pong balls on the ground so she can jump up and catch them in the air. If you do not get her zoomies out before bed, expect your feet to be hunted and bunny kicked under the covers.

Although she is initially quiet and skittish, she has the sweetest and funniest personality once she gets comfortable. She loves sleeping in cardboard boxes, tucking herself in under covers or watching the world from the window sill. She has a sweet meow and loves to make conversation.

She is happiest sitting close by you and will greet you when you get home. She is not a fan of being cuddled but is very affectionate in her own way. She loves to perch on your back if you lay on your stomach and don't be surprised if you wake up to find her sleeping on top of you. If you catch her right when she wakes up, she might even let you place her on you so she can fall back asleep.

Since she has no teeth, she needs help forming her wet food into meatballs and re-forming as she eats. She has no trouble eating dry food and is on a special gastro kibble. She loves treats, especially squeeze tubes (although she prefers to eat them in a dish).

She is a clean little girl and appreciates having her litter box cleaned once a day. She prefers an open litter box and does best when she has two litter boxes available to her.

Runny has done well around other cats before. She is sensitive to stress so she would do best in a home where she has company, consistency and someone to help expend her energy.

She requires medication twice a day and an eye drop once a day to boost her immune system. She has frequent respiratory infections and trouble with one of her eyes, however, the daily medications have helped to make these more manageable. It's important that any signs of illness are looked at by a vet as soon as possible because of her FIV.

Runny had a full mouth tooth extraction and cleft palate repair in 2023. She is prone to upper respiratory infections and is on several daily supplements to support her immune system. Runny is also on a low dose medication to manage her anxiety. She is positive for FIV and negative for feline leukemia. Runny has been treated for fleas and parasites.

Runny is FIV+. Cats with FIV can live a long and happy life. You can read more about FIV on our website here: https://annexcatrescue.ca/the-happy-truth-about-fiv-cats/
