Meet This Gorgeous 10-Month-Old Long-Haired GSD!
This 55-pound beauty is as striking as she is sweet. At just 10 months old, she's already proven she's smart, resilient, and very ready for home life.
She came up from Oklahoma after being dumped and surviving three weeks on the loose in a small town. Despite that adventure, it's clear she was once loved-and she's very happy to be back inside. There was some concern she might be a flight risk, but she's made her feelings clear: she loves being home. On walks, she'll happily drag her foster mom up the sidewalk because getting back to the house is her favorite part.
She's a fast learner with great manners. She sits politely at the door before walks, takes corrections well, and so far has had zero resource guarding. She's good in the car and rides nicely. She can absolutely live with other dogs in her foster home and genuinely enjoys them and wants to play. She even peacefully coexists with a feisty 10-pound Chihuahua that has it in for her (suggesting cats might not be a problem). She shares well and handles corrections from older dogs appropriately. That said, she is strongly people-focused and bonds quickly and deeply with her human.
She's still a puppy, so expect normal puppy things like teething and continued learning. She is not crate trained, but she's doing well in a puppy-proofed room with a baby gate. Just know she would much rather be out with everyone else-especially her person. She is occasionally anxious but given her recent experience, that is completely normal.
She would thrive in a home where someone is around a lot (work-from-home would be ideal). A fenced yard is required (4 feet is fine). Long periods of time in a crate for this active smart girl isn't ideal.
She is spayed and will be fully vaccinated upon adoption.
