Meet Skye!
Skye is a beautiful young Kelpie mama who has finished raising her puppies and is now ready to find a forever home of her very own. While Kelpies are known for their high energy, Skye enjoys her exercise but is overall pretty chill, balanced, and easy to live with.
Skye loves toys, enjoys playtime, and is just as happy settling in for a good cuddle. Skye has only been with her foster mom for a short time, but she's already proving herself to be an excellent house guest. So far, we know that she is:
-Completely housetrained
-Crate trained
-Generally does well with other dogs with supervision around food and high-value items
-Comfortable on leash
-Quiet at night
-Friendly and confident with new people
Skye has a sweet, loving nature and greets new faces with calm curiosity rather than shyness. She's an affectionate, easygoing companion who enjoys being part of the household.
Like many young dogs, Skye is still learning and growing. She does show some resource guarding, particularly around food, treats, and close human attention. She is actively working on this with her foster mom and a professional trainer and will need a home committed to continued guidance, structure, and consistency.
Skye's story is still unfolding, and more updates will be coming soon as we get to know her even better - but one thing is already clear: she's a special girl with a big heart, ready to give all her love to the right family.
