Winnie is a good natured girl who her foster Mom says "Is the sweetest dog I've ever had the opportunity to foster, and I've been doing this a long time!"
Winnie was rescued with her 9 puppies (Remember 100 Acre Wood litter?). She was such a loving Momma to her puppies; now that they have all found their forever families, it's time for Winnie to find her happily ever after too!
Breed: Pitty Mixalicious!
Temperment: Sweet, friendly and affectionate
Dog friendly? YES! She has 2 furry foster siblings in her foster home.
Winnie's favorite things:
-Chasing squirrels.
-Playing hard with her foster siblings (having one less leg does not keep her from a rough & rowdy play style)
-Digging holes (Landscaper in a past life?)
-Cuddles all day, any day.
Backstory: When Winnie was rescued with her puppies, it was very clear that she had suffered a severe injury to her left leg that had not healed correctly. After X-rays revealed she had been shot in the joint just above her left foot, it was determined after carefull consideration her leg should be amputated to give her the best chance at a happy, pain free life. And thrive she has! Happy and strong, three-legged Winnie is living her best life.
Despite her painful past, Winnie is very loving and friendly to everyone she meets (and the prettiest tri-pod ever).
