Meet Pockets!!
Pockets is an almost 12-year-old pit mix that is a snuggle bug looking for a loving home to spend her golden years in! She is listed as a large sized lover, but one that is short in stature with a solid booty.
Pockets came to us after she was abandoned in a parking lot in a wire kennel, on a very hot day in August. Thankfully somebody witnessed this and stepped in to help her out, where she then came under our care. Since then, she has stolen all of our hearts with her happy go lucky personality and her loving demeanor, despite what she has experienced. She is a funny girl with a silly smile to match her sunny personality, and if given a chance she will crawl into your lap and lean in for cuddles and some good belly rubs. She loves getting to go on car rides, shopping, and snuggling with her favorite volunteers! She also knows how to keep a clean room!
Pockets would LOVE the chance to meet with any family members before becoming a part of the mix, this way she is able to make sure it's a good fit. Although not required, she can be dog picky/selective, so a home with no other dogs may be where she is most comfortable. Pockets is a VERY sweet and affectionate girl that enjoys not only giving loves but receiving them in return, but you can guarantee that if a toy is in the mix, it will be her main focus. We have noticed that on occasion, she will covet her toys as if they are the Hope Diamond, so older children may be best in understanding that she will have boundaries with her toys. She is working on leash walking as she can be a very strong and powerful puller on leash, so a fenced yard is recommended but not required. If Pockets could talk, she would tell you that her dream home would be one where she could have daily doses of cuddles, a couple of fluffy blankets, lots of toys, and a nice spot on a couch to nap on!
