Meet Georgy. Georgy was brought to the shelter because she was a community cat who got a taste of the indoor life and now wants to be in an indoor forever home. Georgy is friendly with adults but hasn't met kids before. Georgy is a nervous gal who would prefer any children in the home be old enough to respect her boundaries. It will take some time and patience from her adopters, but once Georgy warms up, she's an easy going lap cat. Georgy enjoys cat toys, especially if they have catnip. She loves head scritches and the way to her heart is with Temptation treats. Georgy has a heart murmur and a medical condition called Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM). Our staff can tell you more about that, but basically Georgy's heart is diseased and has thickened muscle walls, altering how the heart pumps blood. We highly recommend Georgy's adopter follow up with their vet or our clinic to get an echocardiogram (heart ultrasound) completed to help determine diagnosis and what medications will help Georgy's heart.
