Blaze was brought to the VBSPCA at no fault of his own and would love to find his very own family. After arrival to the VBSPCA it was observed that Blaze had a limp. After some diagnostics and an exam by our amazing clinic team we found that Blaze has a 4/4 Luxating Patella in his right hind leg. He is currently on a treatment plan that includes joint supplements, pain medication as needed, and making sure he maintains a healthy weight. His future family should be prepared to help maintain a healthy weight for Blaze to avoid added stress on his joints. His condition will require lifelong management. We are requiring any children in his future home be 10 and up as he can be a bit excitable and jumpy. If you have other canines in the home we will require a meet and greet prior to adoption to make sure everyone gets along. Blaze has meet a few canine friends while here and will need a canine that can meet his high energy level. We do not recommend small dogs, senior dogs, or cats for Blaze. If you would like to meet this handsome fella or have more questions please speak with our kennel team who will be happy to help you!
