Meet Axel! Axel is a happy-go-lucky young man who is ready to get the heck out of here! Sadly, Axel is heartworm positive, but the cost of his treatment has been covered by very generous donors! Axel would do best in a single family home or with an active family because he will be a hyper boy after he recovers from heartworm treatment and will need to get that energy out. Axel is a good boy, but he unfortunately isn't the biggest fan of being alone and has been a little destructive when left alone (broke out of a few crates). He could likely benefit from a canine companion (not a requirement), but he would have to meet any potential canine friends prior to going home. Lastly, Axel can be quite excitable & jumpy, so we do ask that any kids in the home be at least 6 or older.
