Mimi Imfirst was transferred to Valley Humane on 6/1 from the Tri-City Animal Shelter. She had been found stray. Mimi weighs 7.1 pounds and is a young adult cat (estimated to be aged between 1 and 4 years old).
This cat may have a flea allergy, which means that the cat is allergic to flea bites. Cats with this condition can develop very itchy skin and hair loss even when they only have a few fleas. While at VHS, this cat has been treated with monthly flea prevention. The new adopters are advised to keep up with monthly flea prevention in order to control this possible flea allergy. If monthly flea control alone is not controlling the skin condition, the adopting family is advised to consult their family veterinarian for further treatment options.
