Meet me Saturday 6/28 at the Blackhawk Pet Food Express from 11 am - 3 pm! (11000 Crow Canyon Rd, Danville)
Meet Moose! He is an adorable terrier mix looking for his forever home. Moose is good with other dogs and children - if they move too quickly for his comfort he just gives them plenty of space. He loves to snuggle up in blankets and play with dog toys. Moose is also great on walks as long as there isn't too much commotion. He is curious about exploring the outdoors so he is best suited to a household that can protect him from an unsanctioned "adventure". He is also crate-trained and very quiet, so he would be perfectly happy in a smaller home or apartment. He can be a bit shy in new situations but it is fun to see his playful personality come out once he gets comfortable.
Moose's adoption fee is waived!
Moose was transferred to Valley Humane on 3/12 from Stockton Animal Services. He had been found stray. Moose is a young adult (estimated to be aged between 1 and 4 years old) and weighs 12.3 pounds.
Moose has a heart murmur. A cardiac ultrasound was performed and he was diagnosed with a suspected (visibly inapparent) ventricular septal defect. This is a small, non visible hole between two chambers of the heart. There is no way of knowing if this pet will develop heart disease in the future. At this time, there is no sign of heart disease and no medication or treatment is necessary. It is recommended to monitor the murmur and perform a follow up ultrasound if changes occur.
