Thor may look like a lion but he is actually a big softy! He's a little shy at first, but only took about 24-48 hours to settle into his foster home, show his belly, and share his favorite activities - getting head scratches, chin rubs, and long strokes on his back, and making biscuits with his very large paws. Thor likes playing with a wand toy for a little, but then decides he would rather just cuddle with his human. He is a great eater and litter box user.
The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more.
Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information.

From Cat Adoption/Cattery/Free Roaming Room (in shelter):
To meet this cat please come to Seattle Animal Shelter at 2061 15th Ave W, Seattle, WA 98119, between 1 - 5 pm one of on one of our open days, no appointment needed. We are open on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We are closed for adoptions on Monday, and all holidays.
From Foster Care (out of shelter):
Put the name of the cat(s) and animal ID in the Subject Line of an email. In the body of the email please include your contact information, including address and phone number, which cat(s) or kitten(s) you are showing interest in, and how many cat(s) or kitten(s) you are looking to adopt, if applicable. Please email SASCatFosterAdoption@seattle.gov
