Alpha is ready to find her adoptive home. She was a mom of 6 kittens who have all been adopted. She is a shyer cat that may enjoy a more quiet home.

Alpha is also a playful young cat who loves chasing the laser and is curious about other toys. She seems fine with other cats; she seems to like our senior boys and playing with her kitten. If she was with another cat, it'd probably be good if they were low or moderate energy since she doesn't seem into high energy playing. She comes with one strange quark though! She hisses excessively. She knows us well and loves to be pet, but she hisses when approached, hisses when it's time to be fed, hisses when looked at... She's a little jumpy and shy at times, but has never swatted or bit. She loves to be pet and scratched. Due to being a little tricky to read, she might be best for someone with some cat experience. She'll take a little bit to open up, but overall she's a chill and playful companion.

The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more.

Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information.

** Please note that some animals will receive numerous inquiries, sometimes more than we can process. We appreciate you're understanding and patience.
