Lap cat" doesn't do Asia justice. She'll happily jump in your lap, then migrate up to your neck, sit right by your face, and lovingly paw at your cheek while you give her pets. She loves her cuddle time and your heart will swell when you look into her eyes as she lays on you. Once her love tank is full, she may lay in your vicinity or settle into a comfy nook to catch up on sleep. When you're up and walking, she'll follow you around and lean against your legs when you pause.

In return for this loving experience, Asia will need help managing her diabetes. Luckily, her diabetes is well controlled with a daily pill and special food. Someone with a pretty regular routine who is willing to keep an eye on Asia's health will be rewarded with her adoring love.

Asia is energetic in the evening while she waits for her dinner. She could benefit from a cat friend if given a considerate introduction. Waving the string wand around or having toy mice nearby is also a great way to use up her energy. More than anything, she's waiting for a forever family to realize she's worth the extra attention.

Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information.

** Please note that some animals will receive numerous inquiries, sometimes more than we can process. We appreciate your understanding and patience.

HOW TO ADOPT: Check the animal's location.
