Did Mia's cute little face draw you in? She is just as sweet as she looks. Mia is an affectionate little cat who is currently living in foster care and quickly regaining her strength as a new tripod. She recently underwent surgery for hind leg amputation but is already doing an excellent job of getting around. Mia is a trooper, and missing a leg has not stopped her from being curious and exploring the home. Her foster parents call her a little meerkat because of how she likes to check out new things.

This little rumbly engine of a cat loves being pet and getting cheek and chin scritches. She never stops purring! While she doesn't love being held or picked up, she will definitely snuggle up to you, especially if you have food for her.

Mia would do best in a home where she can be the queen of the castle and the only pet in the household. She has not lived with other cats before and is very strong in holding her boundaries. Please be patient and give lots of love (and treats) to Mia while she is healing!

She has shown some signs of dental disease and has been scheduled to see the shelter's vet and care team on 7/24. For interested adopters, this procedure will be fully covered by the animal shelter to help her improve her quality of life!

The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more.

Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information.

** Please note that some animals will receive numerous inquiries, sometimes more than we can process. We appreciate you're understanding and patience.

Meet Mia!! She may have one less leg than the average cat but that doesn't stop her from being a lovebug! She loves meeting new people and napping on the couch. Come introduce yourself to her today!
