Auggie is looking for a patient, loving, and cat-experienced family who will treat him like the sweet prince he is.
In return for your support, Auggie will reward you with chatter, purrs, and rubbing up against you for cheek scratches. His favorite activity is bird watching and chattering to himself when he sees a bird friend from the window. If there aren't any birds around he may croak at you for some brushes. When he's at his happiest, he'll flop on his side nearby you and if he wants more of your attention he'll stick his paw on you, your cue to continue petting him.
Once he's settled in you'd never realize Auggie tends to be standoffish and growly when meeting new people. Someone dedicated to helping him navigate new situations will be rewarded with his sweet nature and he'll be your companion for life. Being consistent, considerate, and generous with a treat will help him acclimate.
Auggie's ideal family would provide a calm atmosphere with no harmful plants he could nibble, have the patience to help him adjust to a new environment, and let him be the only pet to rule over his kingdom.
The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more.
Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information.
