Auggie is looking for a patient, loving, and cat-experienced family who will treat him like the sweet prince he is.
After living his entire life with one family, Auggie had a difficult transition to the shelter - full of growling and swatting. Once he had time to decompress in his foster home, he mellowed out and his sweet nature started to show. Auggie's ideal family would provide a calm atmosphere, have the patience to help him adjust to a new environment (he has a behavior plan from the shelter behaviorist), and let him be the only pet to rule over his kingdom.
In return for your support, Auggie will reward you with chatter, light purrs, and rubbing up against you for cheek scratches. If he's showing you lots of love he may even croak at you to reward him with some treats. When he's at his happiest, he'll flop on his side nearby you and allow you to admire him.
Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information.
** Please note that some animals will receive numerous inquiries, sometimes more than we can process. We appreciate your understanding and patience.
HOW TO ADOPT: Check the animal's location.
